XORB XD SERIES
XFN1 halves water use and the need for pumice. Controlled testing has shown denim finishing cycles using our XFN1 technology use half the amount of water when compared to the same cycle in a conventional machine. Real-life testing in March 2022 showed that 53% less water was used during the Xeros process.
These same tests proved that 32% less energy was used, and 33% fewer enzymes were needed. The cycle time was also 18% faster when XOrbs were used.
XFN1 technology also removes the need for any pumice. Pumice stones, which only last a few cycles, break down into chemically contaminated sludge and are shown to enter wastewater. By replacing these with our reusable XOrbs, we can lower the impact on our planet. Additional benefits of the XFN1 technology include:
Better handle
Less creasing and “dye lines”
Less damage to fabric
Tighter shade bands
Denim washing is more consistent with better uniformity
Water Saving
Chemical saving
Cycle times
Energy savings
Effluent costs
Multiple operations in one machine
Closed loop harvesting
ETP savings
Worker safety & labor
CO2e reduction
YILMAK is proud to announce a new partnership with Xeros Technology Group, one of today’s leading garment finishing manufacturers.
The combination of YILMAK’s specialist technology and Xeros’ innovations will form a new finishing machine, with lower environmental impact to wash and finish textiles and denim. With approximately 2 billion pairs of jeans manufactured globally every year, we are on a mission to help the apparel and textiles industry reduce its consumption of resources and minimize waste wherever possible. Is an exciting first step of a partnership, aiming to reduce the impacts of the apparel industry.
XFN is a new textiles technology that uses reusable polymer spheres, which we call XOrbs, to wash and finish textiles. By replacing water and pumice, and reducing chemistry, energy, and time, our technology lowers the impact of denim manufacturing on the planet.
Machines fitted with patented XDrum and XOrb innovation allow the closed system to release XOrbs into specially designed garment finishing cycles. At the end of the cycle, the XDrum collects the XOrbs back into their storage system to be used again and again.
